This package is designed specifically for planned cesarean births.

Having a doula present for this can give you support to ensure you have as much time with baby as possible after birth, but also to lend support to the father or support person as they support you.

This package includes the following:

- One two-hour prenatal home visit between 36-38 weeks (discussion of birth plan, partner support tips, postpartum recovery tips, newborn care, and more)

- Support the day of the cesarean

- Postpartum care for 6 weeks

- Virtual support via text, phone or video call up to 6 weeks postpartum

With a cesarean doula, you can receive direct support in the operating room (depending on hospital policy), or preparatory support as the doula sets up the postpartum room for you while you and your support person are in the OR. (Details about these options will be discussed at the initial interview.)

Postpartum care after a caesarean is particularly important as resting is vital for incision recovery and movement can be restricted. Practical support may include help with household tasks such as dishes or meal support.

Postpartum support would include six (6) weeks of care with one four-hour home visit each week for a total of 24 hours of support. If you would like to extend or increase the frequency of this care, more care sessions may be scheduled at $30/hour in four-hour brackets. Prenatal meal preparation aid is also available at $30/hour.

Postpartum virtual support via text, phone call or video call will be available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for up to six (6) weeks post-birth.

This package is available for $1,000 including a $350 retainer fee.
